When Albana Keco joined UNO.TEAM to support communications for our Non-Performance Safespace event, the collaboration initially focused on digital marketing and strategic outreach. It quickly became clear that her contribution extended far beyond communications.
Albana brings a people-first mindset to everything she does. Her work is guided by empathy, trust, and the belief that strong communities are built through meaningful relationships. Those principles naturally reflect the mission and values that shape UNO.TEAM. Today, we are delighted to welcome Albana Keco as UNO.TEAM's US Partner, helping strengthen our international presence while creating opportunities for collaboration between communities in Europe and the United States.
As organizations increasingly embrace artificial intelligence and digital innovation, UNO.TEAM believes technology should enhance human relationships—not replace them.
Albana shares that philosophy. Reflecting on the growing role of AI, she says: "Artificial intelligence gives organizations incredible opportunities to work more efficiently, explore ideas faster, and make better use of limited resources. But no technology can replace genuine human connection. Communities are built through trust, conversations, empathy, and people who care about one another. AI can support that work, but it cannot create it."
This perspective reflects the foundation of UNO.TEAM. Digital tools help us communicate, organize, and expand our reach, but the real impact comes from creating spaces where people feel welcomed, respected, and connected.
Albana's commitment to community extends well beyond her professional work. As the mother of two young boys, she believes that strong communities are built through everyday acts of participation and service.
Throughout the school year, she volunteers at her son Eric's school, Beacon Tree Elementary, where she assists his classroom teacher during learning activities. By spending time in the classroom, she supports not only the teacher but also the students, contributing to a positive and collaborative learning environment.
Her commitment to volunteering continues outside the classroom. This year, after completing the required volunteer background screening, she registered to serve as a Coach Support Volunteer for her local FIRST® LEGO® League Explore team. Her son Eric is also preparing to begin his first season in the program when activities officially start this October.
For Albana, these experiences are about much more than education or extracurricular activities. They represent opportunities to help children gain confidence, encourage collaboration, and strengthen relationships between families, educators, coaches, and volunteers.
Looking ahead to the upcoming season, she reflects:
"I've learned that communities grow stronger when people simply choose to show up. Whether it's spending an hour helping in a classroom or supporting children through community programs, every small contribution matters. Those moments create trust, encouragement, and a sense of belonging that benefits everyone involved."
That same philosophy guides her work with UNO.TEAM. Whether supporting a neighborhood school, volunteering in a youth program, or helping build international collaborations, meaningful communities begin with people who are willing to contribute their time, skills, and compassion.
As UNO.TEAM continues to expand internationally, we believe sustainable growth depends on people who understand the importance of local relationships while thinking beyond geographical borders.
Albana combines years of experience in strategic communication and digital marketing with a genuine passion for community-centered initiatives. As UNO.TEAM's US Partner, she will help strengthen the organization's international network, encourage cross-cultural collaboration, and contribute to initiatives that place people at the center of innovation.
She will also collaborate with our Editorial Lead, Mira Lux Bors, and the wider editorial collective to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore how community-building practices from different cultures can inspire meaningful local initiatives in both Europe and the United States.
We are excited to welcome Albana to UNO.TEAM and look forward to building stronger bridges between communities—one conversation, one partnership, and one meaningful human connection at a time.
