I’ve been reflecting deeply on a movement started by two women in their thirties: Christina Lopez and Laura Bottin. In May 2026, they both walked away from stable, comfortable corporate careers—with no backup plan whatsoever.
In our culture, we are conditioned to believe that every career move requires a clear strategy, a target, or a new business venture. If you quit, you’re expected to build a startup, launch a consultancy, or jump into the next hustle. Christina and Laura took a different path: they quit with zero plan. Their only goal was to break free, reclaim their humanity, slow down, and shed the artificial labels and empty values pushed onto us by society.
This reminds me of Anatola, who walked a similar path and has been living a self-determined life in South America for several years now. What Christina and Laura are doing with their Anti Hustle Club across social channels feels like a profound act of modern civil disobedience. Standing up against the obsession with constant performance and societal expectations takes extraordinary courage.
