The big question is: How do we get a critical mass of people excited about the Economy for the Common Good? How do we rebuild a positive narrative and show that solutions are already on the table? We don't have to bury our heads in the sand, vote for extremist parties, fight each other, tighten our belts, or work ourselves to the bone.
The challenge is getting people to talk about this with their families, coworkers, and friends. Right now, everyday conversations are dominated by the exact same struggles: "We can't afford a vacation anymore." "I need a 5,000-euro dental implant and health insurance pays zero." "I was laid off at 45 and stand no chance on the traditional job market." Or single mothers on welfare being forced out of their apartments because the job center won't cover the rent anymore.
You never hear concrete solutions in these daily discussions. Yet the solutions are right there. That's where UNO.TEAM comes in: We need to build the bridge between the thinkers, organizations, and initiatives behind the Economy for the Common Good—and everyday people who actually need to put these ideas into practice. The transition toward sociocracy has to be peaceful and organic, not a violent upheaval.
