For a few years now, people keep talking about society being split, about tribal politics and how there are no solutions left.
From where I stand, that analysis is only half right. In reality, more and more people actually agree—regardless of their political spectrum. The number of people saying "I simply can't afford to live anymore" is constantly growing everywhere. Everything gets more expensive, financial pressure climbs, and people fear being pushed out of the so-called middle class.
So many people say: "I don't care about politics at all. What I care about is my life and my kids' lives." But right there, they see fewer and fewer opportunities. They fear having their backs against the wall and slipping into basic welfare. And once you're on welfare, everyone knows how hard it is to get back out.
Some fall even further through the cracks and end up on the street. And nobody lives on the street by choice—despite this widespread narrative that "they want it that way" or "it's their own fault."
