I see it every day in my immediate circle. Young humanities graduates, 25 or 26 years old. They have their university degrees in hand. But no one is waiting for them in the traditional job market.
This isn't a temporary slump. It’s the beginning of a completely new reality.
Many scrape by with mini-jobs or low freelance fees. At the end of the month, they might have around 1,000 euros net. They can't save anything. They stand no chance of owning a home or building a real retirement pension. Even dental care becomes an unaffordable risk. The old promise of upward mobility has completely failed here, while rents and living costs continue to rise.
