Distressingly, social initiatives and non-profit organizations have also begun adopting gig-economy mechanics. Freelancers receive irregular, isolated assignments without predictability, voice, or stability—a practice mirroring commercial bidding platforms like Upwork or Fiverr. This systemically generated precariousness strips individuals of economic security and fuels social frustration, which far-right movements exploit. True transformation requires establishing reliable, dignified, and democratic structures, especially within the social sector.
