I’ve always wanted to be part of something bigger than myself. In former East Germany, we called it a "collective"; later, it became a "team." But a real team isn't built through legal entities or corporate titles. In the past, trying to build teams in cutthroat, hyper-masculine industries failed because those environments bred autocratic behavior. Today I realize: a team works like a magnet. If your own foundation is weak or ungrounded, you won't attract strong partners. Building an intersectional team on equal footing requires doing the internal work first.
