I think a big mistake we all make is this constant complaining: "Everything is getting more expensive, life is unfair, there are no opportunities left." And politicians immediately have excuses ready for why everything is bad, why there are no solutions, and why we're facing mental health crises or getting dragged into wars.
The real issue is that most people never look at themselves when searching for someone to blame; they just conveniently pass the responsibility onto specific individuals or organizations. It's that endless grumbling about "the powers that be doing whatever they want anyway." Hardly anyone is willing to say: "I am part of this society, so maybe I share some responsibility for where we are."
Yet we have the power to connect and talk about solutions at any given moment. But most people just wave it off: "There are no solutions, I don't want to deal with it."
The thing is, the solutions are already right in front of us! For pensions, healthcare, care work, childcare, energy—there is already a viable system ready to go. And that system is the Economy for the Common Good. We have never had a social framework that was truly just and sustainable enough for everyone to flourish. It's about time we built it.
