Susanne from System Delta recently asked me if I knew the Swedish initiative We Don't Have Time. I know it well. I came across it on Twitter years ago when I was actively networking with Greta Thunberg and Fridays for Future.
The song The Worst Crime by Depeche Mode immediately comes to mind. It gets straight to the point: As humanity, we have failed so far to protect our ecosystems and preserve our basic livelihoods.
The core issue is rapid acceleration. Development cycles are shrinking faster and faster. After shifting from coal to oil, it took humanity decades for a million people to use a landline telephone or a television. With smartphones, it took only a few years. Today, new device generations like the iPhone 17 or Pixel 11 arrive in rapid succession, and AI accelerates the pace even further. Technology develops at breakneck speed, but human thinking struggles to keep up. That creates deep uncertainty and conflict.
We feel this acutely, especially here in East Germany. Many people in Gen X and the Boomer generation experienced radical societal upheavals during the Wende and often associate rapid change with instability. That is exactly where we step in with UNO.TEAM: We take away the fear of change. We show how we can use tools like AI constructively to share thoughts faster and stay capable of action.
It works just like physics: Moving a stationary truck or freight train takes massive energy at first because the inertia is so high. But once it starts rolling, kinetic energy carries it almost effortlessly. Projects work the exact same way. People hesitate at the beginning. To overcome that inertia, we need dynamics, momentum, and real networking.
