Last Saturday, I completed a cornering course with Erik Klose from the Top Superbike Riding School, and much of what he shared is still reflecting deeply within me. He pointed out that around 80% of all motorcyclists are unable to master curves safely and confidently. It is a staggering figure considering how much money riders spend—often up to €30,000 on the bike, gear, and equipment. It is surprising that after such an investment, many still fail to master the absolute basics of cornering, relying largely on luck that nothing goes wrong on the road.
I see a direct parallel here to M. Scott Peck’s work, The Road Less Traveled. Looking at society today, so many people are teetering on the edge of burnout or mental breakdowns under constant pressure. Even though we live in an era where technological advancements should grant us the foundation for a fulfilling and healthy life, we lack control over our basic mental health just as those riders lack control over their bends.
This is precisely why we need a safe space—a true resonance space. Scott Peck highlighted this exact need: spaces where people gather to listen to one another first, without immediately rushing to offer solutions. Through 1000 Thoughts, I am creating that environment. I organize and document my thoughts, preserving them so I can look back months later and reflect on my doubts, mental state, and visions.
At the same time, it is an open invitation to my digital doppelgängers: anyone can step into this space without the immediate pressure to connect or exchange contact details. Standard social networks overwhelm us by forcing instant relational choices. 1000 Thoughts dismantles that speed: it allows people to slowly explore individual mosaic pieces at their own pace, deciding entirely for themselves when, how, and if they want to engage.
