Neoliberalism systematically dismantled that instinct, replacing it with manufactured scarcity. We’ve been conditioned to view each other as direct rivals fighting over crumbs. Because we are pitted against one another, we fail to see that our real leverage lies in organizing against the few institutional actors who structurally exploit us.
