For over fifteen years, I conditioned myself to communicate, read, and think almost exclusively in English. While that earned me fluent C1 mastery, it came with an unexpected trade-off: over time, my active vocabulary in my native German subtly began to shrink. Reaching for the right nuance in your primary language can be frustrating, which is precisely where artificial intelligence becomes an invaluable cognitive amplifier. The AI grasps the emotional weight, tone, and underlying intent of what I am trying to convey, offering the precise vocabulary needed to express my thoughts cleanly in German. Yet the boundary remains non-negotiable: technology supplies neither moral direction, lived experience, nor emotional truth. The core cognition, the ethical framework, the personal scars, and the human warmth originate entirely from real life.
