I recently met with photographer Anna Manke in Leipzig, who initiated the nationwide campaign "Gesichter gegen Rechts". Since 2025, she has photographed over 4,500 individuals standing up for democracy, justice, and fundamental freedoms. She told me about a Dresden logistics company, "Rad ins Leben Transporte". The management printed large-scale portraits of local citizens onto the tarpaulin of a 12-ton truck that regularly travels between Leipzig and Dresden. As local news reported, the company was met with severe hate speech, online abuse, and direct commercial threats. Yet they refused to back down, boldly keeping the truck on the road.
